This philosophy has shaped my life’s work, from establishing my urban homestead to teaching regenerative agriculture at Occidental College. Along the way, I’ve also found a calling in rescuing animals, welcoming them into a safe and loving environment where they can thrive. This passion reflects my belief that every living being deserves care, respect, and a chance to flourish.

As a professor at Occidental College, I teach courses on regenerative agriculture, sharing my knowledge and experiences to inspire the next generation of changemakers. My teaching philosophy is rooted in three principles:

1. Empowerment Through Education: I aim to equip students with the knowledge and skills they need to make informed, impactful decisions in their communities and careers.

2. Learning by Doing: I believe the best way to understand regenerative agriculture is to get your hands dirty—whether that’s through planting seeds, testing soil, or observing nature’s cycles firsthand.
